Reuse of a former hospital built in Cagliari in 1840, with a new use as a university faculty with a large library. After having studied and preserved its form and language, the existing building was adapted to the new use by means of strong interventions such as the union of the four radial courtyards through large galleries, the covering of the semicircular central courtyard, and the rethinking of horizontal and vertical distribution.
